The 66th edition of the MSV in the spirit of industry transformation

Over four days, the Brno exhibition grounds presented the future of industrial technologies. The exhibits of 1,356 exhibiting companies were viewed by more than 55,000 visitors, primarily technicians and entrepreneurs who need to rapidly introduce technological innovations into practice. The future of industry was also discussed at the accompanying conferences focused on energy and the defence industry – that is, sectors that have exceptional importance for the Slovak economy.

This year's fair was held at a time when traditional industrial sectors are undergoing a fundamental transformation and opening up space for new opportunities. „Digitalisation, automation, artificial intelligence, energy transformation – these are all topics that are fundamentally changing the shape of industry and, along with it, our everyday lives. But despite all the technological progress, one thing remains unchanged. The most important things are born of human cooperation. Technologies are merely a tool, but the driving force of change is always ourselves, and that is why the MSV is so unique. At its core stand not machines, but people who create, invent, take risks and invest,“ the general director of the Veletrhy Brno company, Jan Kubata, evaluated the role of this year's edition.

A dialogue on the future of Czech industry

The first day was traditionally in the spirit of meetings of key figures of Czech industry, including representatives of the political establishment, representatives of unions, associations and chambers.

The Assembly of the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic also took place, which set tasks for the future government. Among the guests were also the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel and the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Miloš Vystrčil.

At the prestigious International Engineering Fair in Brno we had the honour of being part of an exceptional presentation, in which our co-exhibitors also took part – the company Invelt and SPŠ strojnícka. Thanks to their membership in the union and mutual cooperation, they had the opportunity to present themselves at this significant event, establish new contacts and show their innovations in an environment where the future of industry meets. Together we thus contributed to raising the profile of Slovak industry at the international level.

The Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering is among the leading technical schools with a long-standing tradition and a strong focus on modern mechanical engineering, automation and industrial technologies. The school prepares students for practice in the field of design, production processes, CNC technology, mechatronics and industrial automation, thereby contributing to the development of a qualified labour force for Slovak as well as international industry. SPŠ strojnícka cooperates closely with companies and industrial partners, which allows students to gain practical experience, complete professional internships and get involved in real projects. It also places emphasis on innovation, modern technologies and the support of technical thinking among young people.

Participation in the International Engineering Fair in Brno brought a wealth of new experiences, inspiration and contacts. For our co-exhibitors it was an exceptional opportunity to present themselves in an international environment, establish new collaborations and gain an overview of the latest trends in industry, technologies and innovations. At the same time, the fair showed that the connection of education, practice and business makes sense. Students and experts alike were able to meet in person with leaders in the field of mechanical engineering, energy and automation, to see the most modern technologies in practice and to draw motivation for further development.
