The Ministry of Labour has launched a grant-based education programme for companies

The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic is introducing a groundbreaking initiative aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of businesses through comprehensive employee education.

The programme offers substantial subsidies of up to 100 % to facilitate the development of skills in organisations. The main objective of this initiative is to help companies adapt to evolving industry trends by enabling their employees to acquire the necessary professional knowledge. By investing in professional training, companies can increase their adaptability and resilience to technological progress and changing market demands.

In addition to traditional „hard skills“, the training will also cover the following areas:

  • Digitalisation of processes: This component focuses on both production and administrative workflows and will allow companies to streamline operations and harness the potential of digital technologies to increase efficiency.
  • Use of artificial intelligence (AI): Training in the area of artificial intelligence applications will allow companies to harness the power of machine learning and automation to optimise processes, improve decision-making and support innovation.
  • Modern facility management: This aspect of the programme will provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage facilities and infrastructure, thereby ensuring optimal functionality and resource utilisation.
  • Financial management: Training in the area of financial management will allow companies to make informed decisions, optimise resource allocation and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
  • Production operators: Training aimed at production operators will increase their skills in operating machinery, adhering to safety protocols and optimising production processes to achieve maximum efficiency.

Training can be oriented towards a professional area or also transferable competencies. A major advantage of the call is that training can take place at the in-house level of education or in external form (by an external training provider), but exclusively in in-person form during the employee's working hours. It is also possible to apply for several types of educational activities.

The financial assistance provided under this programme will be allocated through the de minimis scheme, which was increased at the beginning of the year to up to 300 thousand euros per single enterprise. However, the maximum support limit in this call is 150 thousand euros.

An amount of 11 million euros has been allocated to the call. It is important that the support call is open to enterprises of all sizes, including small, medium-sized and also large enterprises. Given the finite nature of the allocation and the amount, interested companies are advised to begin preparing their education projects as soon as possible. An application can be submitted by 31 August 2024 and the education must be completed no later than 15 October 2024.

In case this financial support interests you, our member company EOSNEBOTRA, a.s. will help you with the preparation and submission of the project. For more information, contact klient@eosnebotra.sk.
