SAPI Energy Awards 2025: We are looking for inspiring projects

SAPI - the Slovak Association of the Sustainable Energy Industry presents a new, inspiring competition focused on supporting innovative, sustainable projects in Slovakia.

Join in and help recognise and promote the best examples from practice, which improve the quality of life, protect nature and strengthen sustainability in our towns and regions.

Competition categories

Renewable energy for:

• Family and apartment buildings – Projects that managed to successfully implement energy solutions through which they contributed to achieving the goals in the fight against the climate crisis. Contractors can submit to the competition projects involving energy sharing, the integration of storage and the use of various types of renewable energy sources.
• Businesses and industry – We are looking for business entities that integrate renewable energy sources into their industrial operations, or combine them with storage and electromobility and subsequently use them in business. This also includes large projects of solar or wind power plants by investors with a realistic business plan.
• Public buildings – Projects that implemented RES on public buildings, such as municipal offices, schools, hospitals, sports halls or cultural centres. Projects carried out in public buildings owned by the state and local governments may apply.

Submitting projects

Projects can be submitted to the competition until 31 March 2025 inclusive. The list of projects that will take part in the competition will be published on 3 April 2024 on the website of SAPI ENERGY CONFERENCE.

Submission is free of charge. A project can be submitted to the competition by an individual as well as by an organisation that financed, designed or participated in the construction of the project. Only completed, already implemented projects from the years 2022, 2023 and 2024 may take part in the competition, which were put into operation no later than the deadline for closing the submission of projects.

Evaluation

The submitted projects will be evaluated by an expert commission composed of members of the SAPI executive board. The commission will thoroughly examine all projects and on 21 April 2025 will, by a joint decision, select the winners of the individual categories. From each competition category it will select one winning project, which will be ceremonially announced at the SAPI ENERGY CONFERENCE.

Public online voting

Besides the commission, you too can decide on the most interesting project. Just vote in the poll, which will take place on the SAPI ENERGY CONFERENCE page. The project that receives the highest number of votes will win admission for two persons to SAPI ENERGY CONFERENCE 2025!

Announcement of the winners

The winning projects will be presented at the prestigious SAPI ENERGY CONFERENCE, which will take place on 21 – 22 May 2025.
